When the Wolf Howls
Improvement Rolls and Training
1) Generally, more Improvement Rolls than as suggested in RQ2 will be given out. Likely 2 or 3 per session.
2) Downtime (2-weeks!) can also be used to train characteristics using the following rules:
During downtime a character may opt to train in a characteristic within an appropriate environment, or with an appropriate teacher. For example:
STR – Gladiators, Manual labour
DEX – Gladiators, circus, sleight of hand
INT – Libraries, scholars, philosophers, mathematics, debate
CHA – Lords, ladies, rogues, social environments
CON – Hunters, monks, long distance running
SIZ – As with STR and possibly CON
POW – Meditation, holy sites, philosophy, priests, witches
At the end of the training a Current Stat x 5 roll is made and compared to the current characteristic score.
Over: 1d4+1 IR towards the Characteristic improvement.
Under: 1 IR
Critical Success: 6 IR
Fumble: -1d4 IR
